Cross your fingers!

For some reason, the veggie oil wasn't getting hot, like it should. With little time, we had to take our best guess at the root cause and hope that fixing it would help. After some discussion, we thought the problem might be a clogged water filter. With no replacement filter on board, our only hope was to cut the lines and bypass the filter. If it didn't work, we'd have to run on diesel all the way to Maryland and back.
Kenny did the work, we crossed our fingers, and amazingly the vegetable oil started getting hot as soon as we fired up the engine. It worked!! We thanked Kenny and hit the road.
