We're working on it. If it's done, information about it will be available on this webpage.

Do I need to be connected to the Internet to use this CD?
No, all the videos, documents, and menus will work when you are not connected to the Internet. There are some links on this CD to websites, which require an Internet connection. These are all indicated with a yellow background.

Why do some of the links have a light yellow background?
The links that have a yellow background require an Internet connection. All other links will work without an Internet connection.

The voluntary pledge to help distribute this CD

The media is not telling us the truth about many things and the election is just one. We are being forced to come up with creative ways to get the truth out. This CD is one way to make it happen. It will only work if the "Copy Forward" principle is used. This is a method of distributing information, by which the people become the media by copying and forwarding information by hand, instead of corporations feeding us information through the television. If you feel these issues are important, please help make it happen.

You should have received this CD for free. Please continue to pass it on. By receiving this CD, you are asked to make a voluntary pledge to do the following:

  • Invite at least one other person to watch some of the videos on this CD with you.
  • Make at least three copies of the CD and give them to other people you think will watch them
  • Take at least one action to help the cause for election justice. Many simple action items and more involved volunteer opportunities can be found on this CD.

Instructions for copying and distributing this CD:

  1. Optional: check for an updated version here.
  2. Use a common CD burner and software to make an EXACT copy of this CD.
  3. CD label options:
    • Use your CD label software and import this GIF or JPG image. These two files can be found in the "images" directory on this CD.
    • Use your CD label software, create your own design. Please use the text found on this graphic
  4. Give the CD to people you think will watch it.
  5. Check in with them afterwards to see if the watched it and ask them if they made more copies and passed them on.
  6. Optional: Help us keep track of how many copies of this CD are going around by sending an email to election-cd@solarbus.org. All we want to know is the state you live in, the version of the CD you copied, and how many copies of the CD you made.
A few notes about distributing the CD:
  • Keep in mind that the purpose of this CD is to reach out to people who are not already familiar with the problems with our election system. There are many Democrats who question the results but don't know the facts, and even some Republicans who are open minded and would agree that open and fair elections are important to our country. Please try to put this CD into the hands of these people.

    • Your local election officials - including your Secretary of State, Director of Elections, and your town's election board

How can I get another a copy of this CD?
This CD is distributed primarily by people making copies and giving them to folks they know. If you are reading this, you should already have a copy of the CD. You are encouraged to make more copies. How do I report a problem with this CD?

What software is required to watch the videos on this CD?
Everything on this CD can be watched with free software. If you don't have the software already installed, you can use this CD to obtain the software you need. You will need a connection to the Internet to get this software if you don't have it. You should have a fairly recent version of:
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer (obtain, upgrade here)
  • Quicktime movie player (obtain, upgrade here)
  • Real Player (obtain, upgrade here)
  • Windows Media Player (obtain, upgrade here)
  • Acrobat PDF Reader (obtain, upgrade here)
  • One video (Liar Liar) requires Macromedia Flash. This is a browser plug-in that will be automatically installed if you are connected to the Internet. Most people already have it installed. If you want to install or upgrade it manually click here
Note, it is likely that everything will work with other browsers like Netscape and Opera, but testing has not been done on any other browsers except Internet Explorer. .

Make sure your Adobe Acrobat Reader program is a fairly recent version. If not, you can upgrade for free here.




Where can I get more information about the 2004 election?
The truth about the election is not being reported in the mainstream media, including NPR and PBS. There is a systematic news blackout. You have to get the information from alternative news outlets and websites that focus on Election Justice issues. Here are a things to get you started.

Do you really think they stole the election?
Yes. The more you look at the evidence, the more clear it is.

What can I do to help fix our election system?
There are many things you can do, from quick action items, to full-time volunteer positions at some of the organizations leading the way. Here are a few suggestions.
  • Before you do anything else to help the cause for election justice, please fulfill the voluntary pledge associated with this CD by making at least 3 copies and passing them on. Information on copying and distributing the CD is found here.
  • Send copies of this CD to your local voting officials, Secretary of State, local representatives, and anyone who is involved in politics or election issues.
  • Participate in the divestment campaign against the voting machine companies.
  • List of action items from all election justice organizations
  • List of volunteer opportunities requested by election rights organizations
  • Sign one or more of the election petitions.
  • Participate in US Count Votes' nationwide program to request election data through the use of Freedom of Information requests. US Count Votes has the instructions for you to request exactly what is needed and a staff that will help analyze the data for possible evidence of fraud. This procedure has already been successfully used to find evidence of fraud in Washington State.

Does it really matter if they stole the election? Isn't it over now?
It absolutely matters because if it was stolen, you can be assured it will be stolen again if we don't do something about it. This is not a passing event. It is an issue that will not go away until we take care of it.

Why isn't the media reporting on any of this?
There is reason to believe that the corporate controlled media was actively involved in allowing the election to be stolen. It's not the reporters you see on TV or the people who write the articles, but the few people that control the large corporations who own the mainstream media. They have succeeded in preventing the truth from being discussed on any mainstream news outlet. There are a few times we know of that a mainstream reporter has tried to report on the stolen election and they have been silenced. It's not just the election either. The truth about Iraq, 9/11, and many other important issues is being ignored completely and methodically. Even PBS and NPR are now controlled by Bush's team. However there is an emerging alternative news world that is growing fast as people demand to know what is really going on in our country. News outlets like Raw Story, Democracy Now, BuzzFlash, Brad Blog, Air America Radio, and many others are leading the way. The website "Real News Network," provides links to many of these news outlets.
